Old School Outfitters | Arizona Mule DEEr Hunting Guide

Archery Hunting

There is truly nothing like sticking a giant buck with your bow. Chasing these critters in Arizona with your bow can be challenging but, very rewarding.

These animals are incredibly smart and can be tricky to get on. Our Arizona mule deer hunts typically requires hiking and packing gear for above average hiking for spot and stalk hunters. We ask that you also be in decent physical shape if you’re going to hunt spot and stalk to improve your chances of success. We also have our waterhole option for where you will sit and wait for the deer with the hunting guide.

Be Prepared

Most of the time there won’t be any need for excessive hiking or packing for these trips especially if you’re sitting water holes. These hunts can be 7 day hunts or 5 day hunts that may be cold or warm weather depending on the hunt.

The typical shooting range to expect is between 30-50 yards for waterholes and 40-70 yards for spot and stalk. Lodging may vary depending on hunters wants/needs and the unit we are hunting

Rifle Hunting

Chasing big Arizona Muley’s is an unforgettable experience. Most Mule deer hunts will not require as much hiking or near as tough of hiking as Coues Deer requires.

During a guided mule deer hunt, there can be hiking and packing so we ask for hunters to please be in decent physical shape if able, just to be prepared for anything to improve your chances of success. We can make accommodations for hunters that are not as physically able as mule deer do not require as much tough hiking.

Be Prepared

These hunts can be 7 day hunts or 5 day hunts that may be cold or warm weather depending on the hunt. The typical shooting range to expect is between 200-500 yards. Lodging may vary depending on hunters wants/needs and the unit we are hunting.
